As 2014 comes to a close for Shine's final show of the year, it is with pride and after the success of their constant run of sold out events they celebrate with another brilliant line up on Saturday 1st November, Shine's 3rd Birthday presenting broadcasters from BBC Radio 6, X-Press 2 alongside Junior Boys Own DJ's Heller & Farley in Leeds at The Warehouse.
X-Press 2 (Rocky & Diesel) on Skint Records join Shine for their debut appearance after a busy year of global festival dates, returning especially to mark Shine's Birthday. They first rose to underground prominence through tracks 'Muzik Express' and 'London Xpress' while gaining plaudits on the club scene for regularly parading their multi-decked 12 turntable sets. DJ performances have taken them far & wide from an 80's acid house groove in Ibiza onto the London stages of Shoom, The Ministry of Sound & around the globe. Also their unique sound creativity has lead to collaborations with Talking Heads' David Byrne's 'Lazy' hit, amongst other productions featuring Leeds indie legends The Music & The Streets' Rob Harvey.
Although prominent house DJ's & producers individually, London based remixers Terry Farley & Pete Heller enjoyed great notoriety working as a duo & first surfaced in the early '90's as part of Andrew Weatherall's Boys Own collective, making their debut with a hugely popular remix of The Farm's 'Groovy Train' & further hits for Sunscreen 'Perfect Motion', K-Klass 'Don't Stop' with Secret Life 'As Always' following soon after. Heller & Farley topped Billboard's club chart in 1995 with their 'Open Your Heart' mix by Mike Pickering's M People accelerating them to a pivotal driving force in house music today.
While headliners in their own right, the fantastic Justin Robertson and CJ Mackintosh who brought technical brilliance to Shine’s 2nd birthday making it a most memorable occasion to say the least, return to The Warehouse once again supported by Miss Money Pennies very own, Jim Shaft Ryan!!
